This is now the OFFICIALLY DECLARED Station Wagon Week (at least by me in my very official capacity-LOL!) Let the long-roofs rule.

This is a stunningly beautiful model in the perfect color for a woody.
This model is such a knock-out! Beautiful beyond description. I'm not a "wagon" fan, but I'd be disappointed if this gorgeous model was not on my shelves. I swear it's real and was shrunk by Brainiac's (Superman's enemy) shrinking ray. LOL, this will bring some 60's comic book memories for those old enough to have read "The Man of Steel" back in that era.

@jack-dodds A perfect model in every way, from subject matter to execution. I feel the same about the other DM 47s and 48s Sedanettes and Convertibles.
DM hit a major grand slam with these Roadmasters; spanning 1947 and 1948 - Coupes, convertibles and Estate Wagon!
I'd love to add that to go with the sedanette and convertible. Big bucks now though. Great pics, thanks John

This model reminds me of when my dad brought home a 1963 Country Squire wagon in Vintage Burgundy with the tan goldish beige interior colors. I loved the way the wood paneling looked and I know it wasn't real wood but still. It just looks so good especially with white wall tires.
If I ever win the lottery which will probably be never cuz I don't play I would search high and low for pristine 1:1's of my dad's 1959 Impala white with that multi-hued blue interior and the 63 Country Squire. Those cars would make my heart sing.... And bring back so, so many good memories.
Heck I might as well throw in a Ford Econoline van because when my dad would take me with him to work when he would wire a house that was being built I'd sit on the motor between the two seats so it would keep me warm in the cold winter months that we endured back in Buffalo New York.

Thank you Jack, me and a couple of friends used to hang out at our favorite restaurant / bar but nobody goes there anymore... it's too crowded... And when I come to a fork in the middle of the road... I always take it.
@100ford2003 LOL !!! It beats running over the fork and getting a flat tire.
Absolutely gorgeous and the pics attest to that.
