They may be Pep Boys Chrome Exhaust Tips Model II - LOL! 

Seriously though, on more than a couple occasions, both the Franklin and Danbury Mints have issued slightly flawed models without realizing it. In measuring, photographing and researching cars for replication, they have used 1:1's in which the owners have made slight modification that were not strictly stock factory issued and did not catch them.

If the owner of this model bought Whitney or Pep Boys chrome exhaust tips, they could have missed it. Surprised

John, great shots.  Do not like the way the convertible fits on the windshield.  Seems Warped.  Like the car better with the boot on.

J.C. Whitney, I have not heard that name in a long time. I remember buying things from them in 1970’s.

+1. I bought a couple items from them in the 60's but they were around a lot longer than that - since 1915!
