Here's a look back at one of my favorite Bel Air models. This diorama was a pretty simple one. At the time, I had just received the base material used here. I thought it had a realistic look. Unfortunately, in photos that look didn't translate well. And what a mess it was, the particles of the mat went everywhere, stuck to the models and was difficult to clean off. All-in-all, I was very displeased with the material and after this photo shoot (that did include several models) I tossed it.

One of; maybe my favorite, '57 Bel Air's! BEAUTIFULLY photographed!
I remember that color scheme from back in the day. It's perfect for this hardtop. Great pics.
Of the several Danbury Mint '57 Chevy's, this one is my favorite. It's the color that is so period correct. Back story to this model is that I ordered it from DM, received it, and then (at the time) having 7 other models on order, I decided I didn't need another '57 Chevy. So I sent it back. A decision I regretted immediately!
A couple of years ago, I found one for sale on the Diecast Auction and I snatched it up. So glad I did!
On a side note, Franklin Mint also did this model in the same color combo, and it being a repaint of their red/white (for what it's worth, I still say it's orange/white, but I've been taken to task with that opinion in the past) version, they completely missed the mark on the perfect replication that DM achieved with theirs.

@perrone1 The color makes this an outstandingly realistic model. Love the setting John.
A drop dead gorgeous '57 Chevy done in a standout color combo. Great pics of course.
