A final WCPD model in this series of posts.

I was able to purchase this model from a diecast friend. It was listed on a D4C auction. I recall that it didn't sell, I made an offer, and it became mine. Now for the model, the modeler who crafted this gem was thinning his collection, which was the reason for the sale. He created it as a representation of one from his past, isn't that one of the biggest reasons we buy most of our model cars.

Now for me, I had always wished that the '59 Impala would have been done in white (one from my past) so when I came across this one-I had to have it. This white gem started its diecast life out as a Frost Blue model. The only difference between this and the one I remember, is the interior, here it is two-tone blue, the other was red & white. For me, that's a minor difference. This is a wonderful model, that I really treasure.

Nice story John and the model does look impressive in white. I also try to replicate in colour the real cars that I have owned. Not usually easy to do.

John, your story and the reason you like this model is exactly the same for me.  My FIRST ever real car was a WHITE '59 CEHVY IMPALA with RED/WHITE interior.  I, like you, would love to have this model in my collection.  Your photos are incredible as always!  If you do ever want to sell it, might I request first dibs on it?  I get goose-bumps remembering mine.
