I am continuing a look at early release models in the Franklin Mint stable. One can't issue classic models without offering one from Duesenberg. The Duesenberg brand was something to behold in its day and is considered a legend in the automotive world today. This model was issued by Franklin Mint in 1987, one of their earliest releases. I added my example in 1999 from the Franklin Mint store in the mall.

It's a doozy of course in a wild color combo! Love the pics.

An Oldie but a Goodie. Both issued by FM along with the Burgundy & Tan, according to their records, 3/1/87.
It makes you rethink the man, Gary Cooper. It's pretty flamboyant for his taciturn, just plain folks persona... unless his wife picked it out. LOL
Had this one early on, but sold it when I decided I only wanted to collect 1940's and newer.
Beautiful model. You sure have a great collection.

I am always amazed how many people, mostly younger people, use the word "doozy" and have no idea of its origin. Not my kids ...
