How good can a 1:24 scale diecast model get? Danbury Mint provided the answer with their '49 Oldsmobile Woody Wagon. It is replicated to perfection and came with everything but keys to start the engine. If you don't have it, I'm sorry. If you do have it, rejoice! It's one of the finest models ever!
Tony's incredible photo makes you want to load it up and get to that family picnic.

A beautifully done model; one of DM's best IMO. Had it, sold it....regret it.

You sold it? OUCH! I feel for your loss. If mine were gone from my self, I'd be sad. Maybe you can find one on the secondary market.

A few years back I decided to sell off a fair number of my 1:24 and 1:18 models and concentrate more on 1:43 due to space issues looming. In hindsight it was the right thing to do but I sure miss certain models; DM in particular.
- Mine is displayed parked next to the coupe version.

Have it, love it. A high water mark in modelling.

I understand why you made your decision. As much as I hate winter here in Minnesota, I've toyed with the idea of selling our house and moving someplace warmer. Obviously, a decision like that isn't easily done. What I do know if we moved is we'd be taking very little with us, and I'm fairly certain that if such a move were to take place, we'd not take any furniture with us and I would NOT take my car collection either. Our space would be limited in a place, by design, and the cars would not fit in to those plans. Now all of this is "what if?", but if these winters continue as this last one, I'm pulling the plug!

Our space is not limited though time is. I too need to divest and share with others who might care about these little works of art. And that wagon is one of them. Here is a memory.

Incredible indeed!

Cheers and Happy Collecting,

@georgeschire George; I just did the opposite and retired from sunny, rainy, temperate Victoria, British Columbia and moved to a small town on a huge lake in central Alberta about a 90 minute NW of Calgary; which has real winters. I love it here and enjoy the 4 distinct seasons. I bought a larger house though so the entire collection came too. Lol.
