Yesterday I finished the Alaskan Hauler.
Bought it a few years ago.
Because of the many parts, I decided to glue the grill to the hood-parts, the cabin and the sleeper, making it a one-piece-unit, looking neat this way.
Overall, I am quite happy with this model representing a truck from the Hill & Hil trucking lines from Houston.
They drove to Alaska with pipe-lines.
Any one of you guys know more about this company ?
Here are some pics.
Joop, great job on this one. I have the model and have not built it as of yet. But I do have one question? Since you glued the bonnet to the cab, did you still build the engine?
Nice work. My dad built a lot of truck models. My younger got them after dad died.
Man, that is a cool build. I'm glad you shared it with us. Great job.💯
Wonderful build Joop. I absolutely love trucks but don't have the space to display them.
@carsman1958 Yes, the engine is there. Can not see it anymore, but I just couldn't leave it out.
+1 Bob. Do you have any of these superb MAQMADON 1/24s? I have this one:Wonderful build Joop. I absolutely love trucks but don't have the space to display them.
But they also make this larger range of BERLIET and Unic Izoard ZU 122 Maraicher in 1/24. They are available in other business brandings and utility variations as well.
And as can be imagined they are expensive to buy and ship. Unfortunately I have neither the money or space for them 😥
@geoff-jowett No I do not Geoff but I really like them. Your collection is simply outstanding in it's diversity.
Excellent.
