An open note to Bob Ames.
Bob, just to let you know that I received the Franklin Mint 2000 Platinum Power Corvette this afternoon. A couple things:
First, I swear I'm the first person to have ever opened the box. It was like nothing had ever been touched.
Second, your packaging was/is bullet proof. Everything was in perfect condition.
Third, speaking of condition, the original box was in like-new condition. After all these years, still crisp and clean.
Finally, our transaction from start to finish was flawless. Great communication and easy to get things done. Could not have asked for anything better.
Hope to do business with you again soon. For everyone else reading this, don't hesitate for a moment to buy from Bob. About as up-front kind of guy you can find and certainly worthy of a shout out!
Rick
P.S. Hey, Dennis, you would have loved the car! L.O.L!!!
Wow Rick, that was quite a compliment. Thank you very much.....
I appreciate it. The Platinum Power Corvettes are in brand new condition and I have a few of them. Of course I have to inspect every one and always try to repack them just the way they were packed at the factory. BTY, Dennis will be getting his very soon. Thanks again!

I’ve dealt with Bob in the past and will echo your comments! All 3 Bobs are/were 1st class!
Bob Ames, Bob Kaempf and the late Bob White! All first class gentleman and honest as they come!!!
Wow, Phil. Bob White! What a great guy. Met him once at the Franklin Mint at one of our D4C functions that used to be held there. Miss him.
Note to self: Remember, don't store gun powder in the oven. More of a safety tip than anything else.
Hope you win that other one that Bob listed. You're going to love it, Dennis.
Then again, there's still time left to bid on it.....
I met Bob White there too Rick. FM used to have a 1:1 car show every.....
year at their headquarters in Media PA. In addition to the car show they had a huge tent set up for the D4C to have a meeting under. I met Bob White there as well as Roy Rauch, Tony Perrone and Jay Olins. What a great time we had!
Thanks George, I appreciate it....
Well, it's getting deep here. I've got my pants rolled up and am searching around for a ladder so I can get up on the roof. But before I do that i'm trying to load as much stuff on the auction as I possibly can in order to take advantage of this once in a lifetime situation.
Thanks Phil. I remember when the...
three Bob's pretty much monopolized the auction. It was a whole different game back then when you would have multiple bids on most items. I had a taste of that the other day when Rick and Dennis were battling it out over the Platinum Power Corvette I had listed. I think I've got both of them bagged at this point. LOL.
Got us bagged! Too funny, Bob!
Agree. Bob is among the best.
Alan Frank
Alan, you’re right there with him. Always great to do business with you!
Rick, All of my purchases were the same Outstanding packaging w/ all else as you found.
Great person to buy from when you wish to be absolutely perfect for any dollar amount. I have some 50 odd cars from bob over probably 10-12 years. As stated all perfect! Way to go Bob!
