This was a 500 piece run by ACME produced by GT Spirit. It is not Diecast but resin. Nothing opens. That said, the Roman Red paint is absolutely flawless and deep. The interior looks real. The wheels are finely detailed; however, I wish they had the tire manufacturer's printing on them.

These were quick pics using my iPhone. I'll set up and take some better, more detailed pics soon. Will also do a side-by-side comparison with my 1/12th C6 Corvette just for giggles.

Best looking C2 in my collection now.

Very sharp. Red / red was a rare combo too.

Super model Rick and your pictures are crystal clear. Would love to have more 1/12 scale models but but am totally out of room for them.

Bob, I have 9 1/12th models spread around areas of my office. They do take up quite a bit of real estate (mine are all in their own cases). Thinking about getting another cabinet just to house the 1/12th cars. Also have 3 of the 1/16th Danbury Mints that also take up a lot of space.

Here's my list of 1/12th's:

DM's '57 Belair
Mattel's C6 Corvette in red
Mattel's C6 Corvette in black
Kyosho's James Bond's Z8 Convertible in silver
GMP's C5 Compuware Corvette Racing in yellow
DM's '31 Cadillac Roadster
Dodge Ram Pickup (around year 2000) - maybe 1998 in red
Shelby Cobra in red (can't remember the manufacturer)
C2 Split Window Coupe by ACME in red

The 1/16th's include:

'53 Cadillac convertible in white
'29 Cord in blue
'55 Belair in red

The largest Diecast model that I own is a Bucyrus 495HR shovel. It's 24" long, 16" high and 10" wide. In 1/50th scale, it takes up a huge amount of real estate.

What does the underside look like?

Just curious as I have one similar from Hamilton Collection and wonder if it too is sourced by GT Spirit.
