another forgotten prewar classic[PIC]

FM's 1926 Mercedes-Benz Model K was released about 12 years ago and was an instant success. It's probably best known for its beautifully patterned upholstery that was only matched by FM's Bugatti Napoleon.

Thanks for posting the outstanding pictures of this great model. Again, you gave me reason to pull this car out of it's display case and take a second look at some of its finer features. Each time I do this, it's like looking at a car for the first time without having to buy a new one. Another image from FM in an era when they excelled.

Great shots... Pretty soon you will have to mount the snow tires on the models....

That's one that I've always wanted, but for one reason or another never got.

I've always been fascinated with the interior of this car. FM had their niche with the Prewar cars. Great pictures as always Richard.

How does the model stack up against the 1:1, Fred?

I guess the brain is going because I don’t recall ever seeing this car before.

As usual Richard, nice work.

Roger you have that one too huh? Isn't it a BEAUTY?

That's what irks me about TFM. They have produced models like that and CAN produce the best, but sometimes offer less then the best. I keep saying and will say again I want nothing more then to see FM rise again and be a top player. They've done wonderful things in the past (some in the present). Many of my most favorites are FM including this one! Smile

Nah your brain isn't going John, perhaps this isn't subject matter that interests you

I dont know what types of cars you collect, but this one is amoung FMs BEST! Smile If you not into this era though, it's easy to have overlooked it. I hardly know what Corvettes/colors the FM made because most of my Corvettes are DM and im not the biggest Corvette fan though I respect the Marque. Would you want to add this one (26 Benz) to your collection?
