I agree this car should have gotten better attention to detail
Man I really want ed the open trunk
I lost interest because I could never find one
But at least I have the CT version ...
.. I moved on to other interests

Phil, I agree with you on the quality of the model. I bought mine back in 2009 because of its rarity. As I understand it,the model was first released in 1987 with the opening trunk. Apparently the trunk hinges were very fragile and many folks returned it for a replacement. Danbury soon re-released the model with a sealed trunk and replaced the open trunk with a closed one. No one knows how many of the open trunk models remain.

Interesting. Years ago I wanted one badly, couldn't find one I could afford.
I bought the closed trunk one instead. Probably overpaid for that too. Now that I could afford it, I don't have an interest anymore. I still have the other version, I'm pleased with it, but it deserves to be done better.

Well ... I'd have to give that some serious thought ... because 20 years ago, I was RED hot and trying to buy any and everything ... I was burning up those cash advances

I gotta start tackling the garage ... wife sez get 2 dumpsters and start chunking ... yeah right !!!! .. LOL
