Do I need to be concerned?
Back in March of this year I ordered AUTOMODELLO'S 1954 Buick Skylark 1:24 scale model. I ordered one each of all three colors to be released. My credit card was charged for all three models on March 28, 2022 and to date, I've NOT received any of the models.
Most times when I've ordered something from a company using my credit card, the card is not charged until the order is sent. In this instance, I've paid for them, but NOT received the models.
Also no updates have been sent to me, nor are there any updates on the models on their website.

George, I don't think you need to be concerned yet. This is consistent with how Automodello operates. Since the prototypes were completed and already photographed by Rich, the cars are probably in production or already on its way to US. You can email Jim Cowen, the email should be on the automodello or diecasm websites.
George;
I did the same in ordering/paying for a TVR Griffith last spring. I inquired several months ago and was told it was in production. I agree it is a bit of an unusual way to do business but others have told me it's all good and not to be concerned.
THANKS Chav and Jack. I guess I'll give it some more time, as really that's all it appears I can do. But I'll admit, it's the paying up front that is unsettling to me.

@georgeschire Yes George while I too am reassured by Chavs and Jacks responses I think at the least email updates would be in order.
I almost never preorder anything to avoid issues like this. If I miss it, well, there's always another train.
@chav Good point Chav. I spoke with Jim about three weeks ago and he said that he expects the Skylark before the end of the year.

Thank you Bob. Reading your response above is reassuring to me for now.
I know we used to have some (seemingly) long waits for both Danbury and Franklin Mint models back in the day, but I was never concerned with it, because we were never charged or had to pay BEFORE the models actually shipped. Having my credit charged for the full amount for the three models from Automodello immediately upon ordering them last March, was the first time I'd experienced that. Hopefully all will be well, as I am really looking forward to adding those Skylark's to my collection.
