On a crisp, early winter’s day, bear ventured out to find a bottle of hooch to replace the one he’d spilled last night while watching the new Durwood Kirby Show
And there, off in the distance, he spotted it !….the hallowed beckoning symbol for tosspots and sociable sippers all through the Southlands…..the RED DOT !!
Usually there were THREE red dots.But this, in itself, was not overly concerning to bear, as he just needed the one bottle (and maybe some cheese fish crackers)
Had the two pushy idiots at the "store" made even a rudimentary effort to decipher bear’s request, the day might’ve turned out so much more agreeable.

That'll teach Mo and driver Axel to deal "The Real Thing" out of back of a semi on the QT and to try to chisel more moola from Bear.
Durwood Kirby....now there's a name from the deep past; haven't even had a thought of him for decades.

sounds like a top-o-the-line genuine hardwood trimmed,vacuum cleaner extraordinaire.....sold by appointment only, and presented to you in the comfort of your own home

Just looked him up; died in 2000 at age 89. Mostly remembered for his association to the Gary Moore Show and Candid camera with Alan Funt. Name is spelled Durward apparently....I learned something today!

Yep...that's how his Mama spelled it apparently.
