My latest arrival. I had my doubts about purchasing this car. Normally i prefer older cars of Franklin mint. But i think they did a good job with this 2000 model.

I've had it for years and love it. Great garage setup.

Love your garage set.  The FM Z8 is a sweet little car.  I believe it's made of aluminum just like the real thing.  Lots of detail like the 4-wheel disc brakes and the battery and tool kit under the trunk mat.

@pete-rovero +1 Pete. I initially didn't buy this model but later came across one for a price I couldn't refuse. When i received the model I became impressed with the detail and am glad it became a part of my collection. I too understand that it is made of aluminum like the 1/1.

TFM did, indeed, make it with an authentic aluminum body. Remnants of the Car List still show it as such:  https://diecast.org/model-details/?pdb=297

My original review and subsequent photo shoot has all since dissolved away, however.

@perrone1

it’s too bad that the Car List and Reviews didn’t translate over to the new site format. Your reviews and pictures were responsible for me and others (I’m sure!) going into debt  to the Mints. I know can’t fully appreciate the time it took you to review and photograph these models but I thank you (and others, like Rich S) for your efforts. Oh, and I loved the Thrillometer rating.  I’ll never know how much money that cost me!

@pete-rovero Pete, I'm with you on the money Tony and Rich Sufficool cost me at the time with their pictures and reviews. As I look back on it today, I wouldn't change a thing for the pleasure these little cars have brought me over the years.
