Great pics JB.  You have captured the only time in history a bullet-proof Divco van actually broke down.

Thanks Jack.....unfortunately,that large chicken, whose feet are hidden in the scrub grass, and later in the fresh snow, was witness to the whole fiasco

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo.......how`d they do on your Speedway truck makeover?

@john-barry Oh I will just do the decal removal myself; hopefully without ruining the red finish.  I expect it to arrive in about 2 weeks or so.  By any chance have you ever removed any of the decals on the First Gear trucks?  I was thinking of just trying straight hot water/fingernail (works on Brooklins) and failing that then nail polish remover which worked well on my Minichamps Lotus Cortina number decals last week.  If I go this route I will try a tiny application/rub on the underside red just to be safe.

@jack-dodds                when I asked for recommendations on removing decals from mint models, several people said to use nail polish remover WITHOUT acetone (they aren`t really decals, but I can`t recall the term describing them)

I have not attempted the procedure yet

@john-barry  Whoops...sorry about that.  It looks much better IMO as I prefer stock.  I've never been a fan of commercial decals...oil companies and the like excluded.  Thanks for doing that John!

@john-barry  That is why I wanted ideally to get the white and black one like yours as I think it would look great sans decals.  Just one person's opinion of course.
