I had to have this one, because of the color combo. It is gorgeous. This is another one of those toy show finds. In the box for a 20 dollar bill. I'd seen pictures of it before, but didn't realize how beautiful the color was until seeing it in person. No way was I passing it up, lol. After a good polishing, it really sparkles.😊
One of my faves. Photo'ed beautifully!
Got the perfect song for you; Sammy Kershaw - Cadillac Style.
Lyrics:
And it sure as heck sparkles in your setting Geno !
@perrone1 Thanks Tony. I love the song and I've had that CD since it came out, lol. You don't hear much about Sammy anymore. A great musician indeed.
From 1989 to 1994, we lived in Nashville, before moving here to the Smokies in early 1994. During those years Shirl & I rented a small log cabin on the top of a hill near Cobbly Nob just east of Gatlinburg, that we used each summer. To get to it one had to cross a creek that ran through a golf course lower in the valley.@perrone1 Thanks Tony. I love the song and I've had that CD since it came out, lol. You don't hear much about Sammy anymore. A great musician indeed.
Sometime in early 1992 we spotted Sammy Kershaw on a bench near the creek. He had his golf club bag next to him. He was on my side of the car. I lowered the window and said, "Sammy Kershaw, right?" He smiled and said, "Yes!" "You OK?" I asked. He said that we was fine just waiting for the rest of his foursome. We told him we liked his music and the #3 hit at that time. Wouldn't you know it - it was "Cadillac Style"! True Story!
@perrone1 Man, what a cool story. I've got one of my own, I was in Nashville on vacation, I was walking down music row, walked into a music shop. I can't remember which one. Low and behold Vince Gill was sitting on a stool tuning a guitar. He was a friend of the owner, and the only other person in there. We only talked for a few minutes, but man, he was just like talking to a regular guy. A very personable man. And one hell of a voice.💯😊
Can see one of 2 pics this time Geno, progress I guess! great model, I have the maroon version. One of 26 1/24 Cadillacs in my collection including a couple of kit builds. Range from FMs 1910 Brass era to WCPDs 2003 Concept. Love 'em all!
@geoff-jowett WOW, I'd love to see them Geoff, and thanks everybody.💯
An excellent model Geno, congrats on finding it at such a great deal.

@jcarnutz Thanks John. I was extremely happy to find it. I've been pretty fortunate at finding models for great prices at these shows. 😊
Geno, that is a score...good going! Looking like the real thing in your setting. The '49 CDV is a standout. Happy to say that mine is proudly parked in my display.
