Car show pic of the day...Friday...
1960 Chevy Impala cv.
The only way I like this one, no skirts and no CK.
I'm with you on that, but get rid of the optional bumper guards too.
That’s a beautiful car.

George!
Don't sugar coat it, tell us how you really feel!
You called the man an idiot, his pride and joy "junk" and "ruined," unworthy, and craves attention! On top of all of that, he should look at a photo of this car because after all, YOU (the arbiter of all that is good and right) have decided this is how it should look! All that judgment from looking at a photo of his car? Whew!
George, Maybe that attention craver doesn't give a rat's ass about your opinion? Everyone who exhibits cars is, in some degree,
craving attention, not just those whose cars don't meet George's criteria.
Bambi's friend Thumper had it right..."If you can't say something nice about
someone don't say anything at all."
Criticism is one thing, bashing is another.
Not worth giving the poster the attention that he craves.
Paul I agree!!! Well said.
Good looking Chevy. Love the color.
JEEZ
Get a life and keep your ^@#^@#$ opinion to yourself!
Don amd Marlowe...my post wasn't intended to strke a nerve. I removed it. Sorry!

George!
You may not be alone in your opinions but you ARE alone with YOUR level of unbridled voicing of them and the ruthless fashion that you do it! Seriously, the level of vitriol you display towards someone else tastes that is different from yours is overwhelming.
All of that pales to what I think is the bigger picture that all of us should be considering. When the vile comments are made about peoples automotive "pride and joys," it reflects on all of us of the D4C! This site fosters to lovers of the automobile. Simply put, we're all part of the same fraternity! We're all CAR GUYS/GALS!!! When a new member decides to read the posts, and is considering availing themselves to the diecast hobby, if they come across one of the posts with all of the hateful dislike for Connies and skirts, I think they'll give second thoughts of wanting to become a member of "the club."
After reading the comments on this board, I can't imagine what potential club members feel if they have a collector car with a connie or skirts. I wonder how interested they are in posting photos of the car that is a source of a lot of pride. Also, connies and skirts may not be popular among SOME on this board, but obviously, they certainly are very popular in the 1:1 world. Testament to that is so many collector cars have them! But when coming to these boards, some of the comments would make them feel like they're low class, tasteless, crude, idiotic criminals.
I just think that we should give some thought to welcoming ALL car people! People are different and we all have different tastes in cars. No one is better or worse than another. All of the car guys/gals are all potential (and most likely) buyers of diecast cars! We definitely need more people in the hobby! We should welcome the diversity with open arms, not vilify them. Their potential diecast purchases have an effect on ALL OF US!
