Oh man! Those are some incredible good memories! Love the Texaco trucks! We had milk delivery by one of those Divco milk wagons but I'm not sure it was Borden's. I chased the ice cream truck UNTIL, coincidentally, 1952. I had to stop then, when I was 5, since I contracted polio in 1952 and didn't walk again until 2 years later. Then at that time I waited for him to ring those bells and come to my corner! GREAT memories!
wow Tony, one tough kid hey!
Great models, I have the 'milk' versions. The workhorses are great. Thanks Kevin
@perrone1 I’m glad you recovered from your bout with polio Tony, I know quite a few who were affected. Thank God the disease was pretty well eradicated.
@perrone1 I agree with Kevins thoughts Tony. We, here on the forum are better for you and your true insight into not only our hobby, but people as well. A boss I had many years ago had Polio as a child and as a result had a withered leg that left him with a limp.....not once did I ever hear him complain or cause him to use it as an excuse not to do his job. Like you, he was a force to be reckoned with. Bless you my friend.
Thank you Bob! I suspect that the old saying is true, and especially here with all our members. "If we all formed a circle and threw in all of our personal problems and troubles to trade; we'd likely take back our own!"@perrone1 I agree with Kevins thoughts Tony.
