Original color on the Weinberger Chav, As I'm sure you would know its the one bought in a sorry state for $400
Yes Geoff, but there is something very special about this picture, to my knowledge no color photograph of this color scheme exists. So perhaps this may be replica? What scale?
See the chassis numbers, chassis 41100 was rebodied 5 times: 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d and 1e
Chassis 41111 was rebodied twice: 4a and 4b
thanks Chav, I hadnt noticed that. I'll now try and tie that in with any more detailed pics I can find.
Many of them were done in 1:43. I have a set of color drawing prints of each body, official issue by the Bugatti brand, when I have time will share pics.
Nice presentation here Geoff. I too have had a long obsession with Bugatti and his cars. I still have at least 20 models in my collection as well as books, literature etc. I am enjoying this whole post.
@chav how interesting Chav. Maybe computer graphics program?
Geoff, the black/yellow Royale is, believe it or not, a 1/15 model by the great British modeler Gerald Wingrove (RIP). https://www.geraldwingrove.com/Current_Project./Bugatti/Gallery-1.html He did his own perspective photography shots of the models he build, many of them commissioned by museums and high end collections.
extraordinary thanks Chav. The artistry and skill is mindboggling! And just picked up vols 1 and 2 of the Complete Car Modeler from the local ebay for $39Aust. Looking forward to reading them over the Xmas break. Thanks again
