Cobra Prototype

On this one you can see my numbers. I would make my numbered notes on the model, then write up what the correction should be. Sometime 100-200 comments could be made. Most times, I included the Body Shape corrections comments, so there was no chance of missing them. Usually the first comments were related to the Body Shape review.

Did FM ever consider doing the Shelby Daytona coupe?

Design proposed it, but Marketing couldn’t get their heads ...uh...around it!

I had also proposed doing a Cheetah. I think it would have made a great companion to a Cobra Coupe!

Daytona Coupe would have been easy! Pete Brock was a friend who lived only a few miles away.

I spoke with him at length about doing a 1/24 Cobra Daytona in resin. He had ALL the drawings for the car, and offered me access to them in the development stage. Ah, but then life went in different directions for us both.....

The $64 question - where did those drawings end up?

That . . . is beyond words. Can't possibly be anything better anywhere. Belongs in a museum in a glass case. Surrounded by armed guards.
