Nascar clipped their wings early on wouldn't clear them for takeoff.

I remember seeing one of these on the road back then and I laughed at it. It may have made sense in a NASCAR event, but seemed damned goofy as a street racer (or chick magnet). It didn't surprise me that they didn't sell. BTW: That's a beautiful collection you have, Geno.

@rich-sufficool As teenagers we used to laugh at these cars cruising our streets as well; not realizing the real reason they were ever made available for very limited sale to the public of course.....and their subsequent rarity/value in the years to come!
