I'm not surprised by this; my recent visit found the recovered cars quite badly damaged, other the two mentioned- some appeared as if they had been in a car crusher-especially disheartening not to be able to tour the dome. The blue ZR-1 appears the least damaged but oil was dripping out the bottom

Except for a wheel, the ’01 is unrecognizable…..looks like a pile of rubble........Very sad.

Sad. It makes me wonder if it makes any sense to rebuild them. It's like the old story about Grandpa's ax. "I have Grandpa's ax. It has a new blade and a new handle, but it's still Grandpa's ax." Is it, really?
