I like the photos and I like the color combo.  This is one I don't have, but I do have the Red/White version of the same car from Franklin Mint.  As a model car goes, it's nice.  But I still find that to my eyes the car seems to be a little off in its replication when compared to the same car produced by Danbury Mint.  For what it's worth, I'd certainly be happy to add this one to my fleet though, mostly for the color.

Thanks as always for sharing John!  Great pics!

John, that is correct.  This was one of the 6 vehicles that Franklin Mint sold as Walmart exclusives.  The other 5 being, 57 Corvette, 67 Corvette, 70 Plymouth Cuda, 69 Ford Mustang, and a 69 Camaro.

John B you are correct this was one of the Wal Mart editions. I ended up buying all of the Wal Mart cars. I found four of them one evening and when I went to check out, the young lady cashier scanned the first one and it came up $60.00, then she scanned the second one and it also came up $60.00. She called her supervisor over and said that a toy car couldn't possibly be that much and the supervisor agreed. Long story short, I told them that the price was probably correct and that I would take all four...they almost fainted when I was willing to pay $240.00 for four toy cars. My wife was with me and the two employees were looking at her like she was nuts. When we got in the car we were laughing because we knew they were judging the price by the average price of a Wal Mart toy.

@bob-jackman, I enjoyed reading your Walmart experience with the "toy" cars.  Hilarious!  I wish I'd have seen these at our Walmart's, but then I'm thinking we may not have had Walmart here in Minnesota back at that time.  Either way, I don't frequent the store, so I'd probably have missed them anyway.

Well I paid just a bit more than $60. At $75 I thought it was still a good deal. I bought mine "New" as it was stated toward the end of 2017. I am very pleased with it, the color sold me.

I believe FM was test marketing these 6 models at Walmart and each store only received one set of the six.  I purchased the Camaro and Mustang.  I wanted to get the 'Cuda, but the mirrors were broken and rattling around in the box. In hindsight, I should have bought it and just reattached them.
