like your pics and how you demonstrated so many moving parts...
An outstanding model well photographed. I liked the car well enough to also have it in green along with a 1/43 scale by Motor City
John, great shots, of one of the better FM models they produced. I really liked all the working features of this model.
your presentation looks flawless !!......I cherish this amazing production and have a pair of 95%ers in the closet......periodically I`ll get a wire from one of them
Awesome photos and I'm assuming an equally awesome car. There is a strange store behind my not having this model on my shelf. I ordered it when it was first announced and it never came. Some time had elapsed when I realized it had not arrived, so I called and ordered it again...well, attempted to order it again. I was told that it wasn't available at the time, and the DM rep told me that she'd keep my name on hand to order the car when it would be available again. I still never got the car. So guess it wasn't meant to be. Good thing it wasn't an Oldsmobile, because then I'd really have been upset that I'd missed on getting it.

Wondering if anyone ever looked up the actual sales numbers of the 1:1?
being such an unusual model that would be interesting.
@larry-kemling 150 of the '42 barrel-back 6 passenger were built. I wonder how many survived.
Interesting, something to research 🧐..... thx Rich
edit: per and article Jeff Larger an owner believes only 2 of the original 150 built exists today...his is actually still all original except of course for the obvious things tires ... ..battery etc.
I have seen one at a car show in 2016 at the Gilmore Museum. It was a beauty. I will try to finish up the photos and post soon.
