An Absolute BEAUTY John. Photo'ed flawlessly!

Good grief.....I could only imagine driving that car, with those gorgeous tires, in a Tennessee rainstorm. Oh, horror the thought!

Oh yea, in that era those white walls were outlandish.  I always found it interesting how up until some time in the 1980's, white wall tires were the norm on every car that wasn't a basic model of a particular Brand.  Then Bam! they're no longer appearing on cars.  And certainly one would not expect to see or have white walls on a modern era car.  Yet, with but rare exceptions with tires, I've always felt that tires are the least attractive thing on a car.  And with every car's wheel-wells now totally exposing the entire tire, we just see a dirty grungy black tire.  Times they do change.

George what I find outlandish about the Hispano-Suiza , are the completely white tires, not just the sidewalls. I recall reading somewhere that the natural color of rubber is white.

I do miss whitewalls. They always enhanced the appearance of just about any car. Not sure why change to black.
