Did DM do any upgrades over the original Red/White model or is this just a repaint?
Unlike the red/white one this has no spinners wheel covers, two tone paint or spot light.
John, I'm grateful for any posts you have time to share.
A lovely, colorful and very merry Rocket Oldsmobile Super 88 convertible for the finest in open-air automobubblin' down the road of life. As that hound dog Johnny once said to Lucille, "You can go as far as you like with me in my merry Oldsmobile!" 😉 Lucille seems to be enjoying the thrust of Johnny's rocket: 🤣Â

Btw, we always miss you when you're away, Mr. Carnutz. Guess we'll all have to step up and show off our own collections. Â
Great pics! For me, the '55 Oldsmobile was made for 2-tone. I'd feel created it I purchased the '55 Oldsmobile in a single color.

Great shots as always, John! Coincidentally, I just added that one to my collection, and am fixin' to post it!

The solid color turned me off when I received it the 1st time, so much so that I sent the model back to DM. It was several years later when I had grown to appreciate the look that I went to find another one.
