When DM was still making these models, what was the price range for a new one?  At that time I was aware of the Franklin Mint models, but knew little about DM.

these were an amazing value back then. I don’t access to my database right now but  I’d say $129 to $169. I’ll check this evening.

According to my database, the model was issued November 1999, I acquired it May 2000. I paid $149. Heck of a model for that price, even then.

I am not surprised by that price, considering all the detail you get for that money.  I remember some diecast airplane models at that time in that price range, also with lots of detail.  Like most things one purchases, you get what you paid for.  Again, thanks for sharing photos of these beautiful models.
