Danbury Mint 1949 Olds 88 station wagon

Danbury is closed now. I'm hoping they don't tell me to return the model. Will they just send me the license plate?
Thanks

William...The license plate is part of the front bumper and is not removable.

You will probably have to get a replacement for the car itself. DM will send you a postage free return mailing label to send the one you have back to them.

License Plate:

Larry,
Will they send me the sticker then? There are two small holes where it looks like the plate is glued into. Do you have a wagon to confirm?
Thanks
Will

They might not have that part in stock. You might get lucky.

Are you sure its not in the box somewhere?
I suspect you will be exchanging the car itself.
You won't know until you call customer service tomorrow.

Here is mine.

49 olds

I received mine with the front license plate loose. I glued it onto the bumper where it should go.

49 Olds nice pic Larry...I looked all over. My guess is that it was overlooked in assembly. Thanks

All of these problems are very UN- Danbury like. My Olds arrived with a wobbley right front tire and the script letters (on the hood), all but three came off when the protective tape was removed. Not only that, there is a piece of the bottom of the car that apparently came off in shipment.

Danbury Mint...come on!!! The 49 coupe had issues too. I came to expect these kinds of issues from Franklin Mint, and quit buying their cars. I hope you guys get your quality control issues fixed fast.

DM, you are too good a company to cut corners.

Like Curt, the front license plate was laying in the box so I glued it back on the bumper...otherwise, the car is perfect.
