Do we have a 'Diecast Car of the Year' award...?
...If not, I think it might be a nice 'New Year's Treat' to recognize your favorite new diecast image for the preceeding year. Because this might (hopefully) be difficult, you can have as many runner ups/honorable mentions as you like, as long as you can justify them. Okay?
My 'Winner' is the DM '32 Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan.
Without any doubt.................
DM 48 Buick Roadmaster for its jewel like "finesse".
Very close, the DM 50 Sudebaker and DM Plymouth Road Runner.
My vote goes to the DM 1948 Buick Roadmaster
I'm with you, Robert.
I have the 32 Cad and 48 Buick close together in the case, and, too me, the Cadillac takes the cake. I thought so when it showed up months ago.
My vote is the 48 Buick, but, i don't have the 32 Caddy, so, I can't say on that one.
Top honors definitely goes to DM... take your pick
Honorable mention in the cheapo class
Unique Replicas '37 Studebaker Woody. A real treat for little money.

Put me down for the '48 Buick too.

We Have The Annual Zonie Awards
You are absolutly right, Richard. Great value for the dollar.
'48 Buick not perfect but the only things I have found to do is to take some Testors "rubber" paint and detail the edges of the wipers and the valve stems. I finished the wheels and top boot on the D4C Packard Darrin Friday night and took it over to the museum Saturday. I still have to paint the door hinges body color.
I have been depressed since moving as I though I lost the outside rear view mirror on my Pebble Beach TC - found it in the box Sunday.
It would have ben a really great weekend had I not found that I had all the wrong Molex connectors to finish rewiring the taillights on the ALFA. It is a mix of crispy, 35 year old vinyl insulated wire tieing a string of butt splices together.
Don't forget DM's LE '69 Charger SE......also a work of art.
