Ditto for me too Larry. You know I dig your pics. Especially the Pontiac's, lol.
What's the point Tom?
Your reply on Oct 17 in the lounge to my thoughts of the new rule made it very clear of your opinion. To which I disagree. You have your opinion and I have mine. Let's leave it at that.
Larry, you post on a couple of boards. I usually respond to one board or another when I like one of your pictures. Keep em coming. Different venue maybe, but the purpose and enjoyment is still the same. I doubt that anyone has been avoiding you.
Maybe they just didn't like the images (not talking about quality - but the subject matter). You can't please everyone all of the time. Some cars turm me on, some don't. When they don't I usually don't post.
Larry, I sure enjoy your pics too. Sorry if I don't comment on them all the time. I read all the
Forums..well..cept for 64.
I always enjoy - and look first for - the posts with the (PICS) whether they be 1:1, 1:18, 1:24 etc etc etc.
I like cars and I like models and I appreciate EVERYONE who posts about them.
Absolutely not.....................
Tony said everybody is welcome to post their 1:1 pictures in the Lounge and I believe it is the most appropriate place to do so.
Like it or not, many members believe the Board was hijacked with these picture posts but few have the courage to express their opinion.
My post in the Lounge wasn't directed at anyone. It was just a statement of fact. I've reread your post here a number of times and thought it would make sense to talk to you one on one. But you you would rather not. Personally I don't know what the big deal is on moving to the Lounge for now is. All you guys still get to post your pictures whether they be 1:1 or whatever. Yet here you all are crying because you had no say in the matter.
You make the comment that after a few days you posted pics of 1:24 and nobody blessed you with accolades on your collection. And that you are being snubbed. That is so far from there being any truth to it that it's almost funny if it were not so pathetic.
Folks on the forums here for the most part have a way of bending over backwards to be polite. I'm not one of them. I say what I think. Some don't like it......others do. Evidently you don't and a few other of the 1:1 guys don't. Sorry 'bout that. In the scheme of things it isn't important. What is important is that we do what this board was set up to do. In the beginning and again now. And that's toy/diecast related. Not someone's car or pics from a web site somewhere.
I may catch hell from the powers that be for this post. Cuz it may only add fuel to the fire that some of you continue to dwell on. It's to bad that a majority of collectors don't praise the pics that you guys seem to enjoy so much. Most of them would rather not say anything at all. AND what is worse some of them have left this site for other diecast sites so they don't have to wade through car pictures. Novelty for me wore off a long time ago. I've been around a lot longer than four years and you can probably count on your fingers and toes how many pictures I've posted. I come here to learn about and appreciate what others have done over the years in regards to this hobby.
Bottom line your skin must be awefully thin to be upset because members have slowed down on commenting on pics you post.. There is an old saying.................
"Pull up your panties, your a big girl now. So quit crying"
LOL........As we NEVER agree on anything Richard WE do agree on this
Nicely put, Larry. Some seem to think that 1:1 posters had their feelings hurt. Not so. I left because there seems to have been a line drawn by the monitors who have put a wedge between true car fanatics (1:1, 1:24, etc.) and the 1:24 only people. It was wrong, especially after we paid our annual dues.I've lost my interest in The BB and The Lounge.I've been a member for years (I don't know how long).I posted my daily comparos since 10 May 2010 and enjoyed doing it because it seemed to be enjoyed by more than I see responding to most 1:24 posts - and it was getting tougher to keep it fresh, but I was encouraged to keep going until the "STOP" sign went up. So,I too may check in once in a while, but that's about it.Even you and I got into a scrap here and there, but in the end we're car guys and moved on. That doesn't seem to be the feeling here with some. I've been urged by some to return with the comparo, but it just doesn't feel right any more. So, let the 1:24 people have their way, and we'll go ours.Sigh - I do miss it and wish it never happened. Shame on those responsible. BYE.
+1 - Dube's one of the most ignorant people I've ever come across!!
Another one! I'm glad I'm leaving!
One thing most of you are missing is that many members dontlike the Lounge being used for 1:1 PICs
Don't worry.................
the Board will still be alive when you will comeback..... may I say tomorrow???? after a stint to the Lounge?
I come here because I collect Diecast models
I have no interest in the 1:1 pics either way. I just don't look at them. I am sure there are many others like me....If they are still here and haven't left for good already
You are very aggressive.......
and you know I don't care LOL.
