FIN-TASTIC! Not fins that rose to the sky, but more of "flow of motion" type fins. The 56
Oldsmobile, with its "open-mouth fish" type grill and "bullet" taillights has always appeared to me to be a car that looked "customized" when it isn't.
Truth be told, to my eyes it's a sleek and stylish machine. I'd put this rocket in my pocket anytime!

A fintastic, fintabulous and very merry Oldsmobile.
I'd like to go automobubblin' in that!
Extremely sharp.
Excellent car!!
George, I hate to disagree with your past choices for the ultimate 1956 Cadillac or Lincoln, but
To me this 1956 Oldsmobile is the Holy grail of 1956.
The two tone paint, the minimal chrome trim, the recessed grill, dual tail pipes, the rocket tail lamps and just about everything made this the most beautiful car for 1956. I was only two years old but I remember that was one of my first model cars, but if I remember correctly it was a 4 door without an interior, nevertheless I wish I still had it.
