FIN-TASTIC! The 57 fins were Lincoln's biggest entry in to the extravagance reaching the stars.

IMO Lincoln, in an effort to join the "fin craze", ruined one of it's best designs ever with the 1956 models.
Honestly - to 'me'... these were nice; but, not stunning.

Mr. Jackman, you and I share the same opinion with regard to the 56 Lincoln being so much better. It is one of the most beautiful Lincoln's ever.

I agree but I still like it a lot. The '56 was simple elegance while the '57 was flashy elegance.
Fins and quads were the rage for 1957.

The more I look the more i dislike the 57.
The drawing has the rear fins at different angles. And the drawing and real car has the half tear drop rear wheel openings and the squared fronts. The 56 was more cohesive design, imo.
