Have it, love it. The color combo can't be beat. Great pics too!

Thank you sir!
One of the first FM models to lose the dog leg door hinges. Still looks great! I still love the incredibly optimistic "Limited Edition of Only 9500". Those were the days, eh?

Yeah, ONLY 9500 - HA!
Finally Tony, one that I have got. I don’t normally collect Americana, especially in this scale but I do have several Packard, including this one as photographed. Great images as always, Tony.
Actually, I have the roadster trans kit, not the coupe, not sure if a coupe kit was ever made. The roadster kit could potentially be upgraded to coupe by adding the roof top.
I was lucky to get it from a fellow collector, perhaps 8-9 years ago, never seen one for sale, probably very limited numbers.

This car was at Pebble Beach and multiple other shows numerous times, not sure if it has won a major award. Once upon time, when this site was much more glorious, there were various galleries of custom builds, including the creations of Bosco's Garage. They also had a nice website with tons of pictures, but I believe they closed the business and now the Facebook page is the last place you can find a pic of this model. The model was build, I believe, for the owner of the car, and Bosco's used same paint the 1:1 car was painted with. If I am not mistaken they also made a maroon roadster along with the green coupe. Since I have the 1/43 Matrix version of the car (see below), I am not on a hurry to start building and may even commission someone to build it for me, but this custom builds are expensive.
thanks for the detailed response Chav. The pic reminds me of the DM Packard that never was which Tony has pics of. I do remember the custom build links form our old site. I recall there was a Corvette repainter? I also remember the series of members collection pics. One outstanding collection presentation was from a gent in Argentina. His display room included 2 way display walls and beautifully lit feature wall displays. As I remarked a little while ago those site features are a terrible loss to not only us but the hobby.
Thanks for the nice comments fellas and the great conversation on the coupe, etc. What a beauty Chav!!!
Great pictures Tony. I must have liked this car as I have this model and two colors with the top up.
