thanks for the detailed response Chav. The pic reminds me of the DM Packard that never was which Tony has pics of. I do remember the custom build links form our old site. I recall there was a Corvette repainter? I also remember the series of members collection pics. One outstanding collection presentation was from a gent in Argentina. His display room included 2 way display walls and beautifully lit feature wall displays. As I remarked a little while ago those site features are a terrible loss to not only us but the hobby.

The guy from Argentina... his pictures were on Flickr too, but cannot remember his name ... will keep searching

Great pictures Tony. I must have liked this car as I have this model and two colors with the top up.

Thanks Tony! Yes, very classic Packard colors, happy to have them in my collection, George Bojaciuk also posted a picture of a purplish one that probably was destroyed, trying to find the picture ...

Now that you mention it, I do recall George posting that. Ahh, the memories! Cool

Chav well done, thank you sir! Firstly that metallic blue Packard is sensational. And what an incredible collection display! Imagine walking into that room and the WOW responses.

PS. I just went through Claudios collection pics on Flickr. Unbelievable! There are a quite a few that Lu has shared with us, beautiful unique pieces. And there are a number of the completed white metal kit models that I have not seen. Thank you again Chav. I wonder if Claudio is still around? Hopefully so and still active in the hobby. Would be wonderful if he could reunite with us.

Probably still around. He is registered on the new forum, that’s where I found the name, but never posted. The Flickr pictures are all old.

Thanks Bob, all 3 are preproduction study(color) samples. One I purchased privately from a FM designer, the other two I won on eBay auctions several years ago. More of these exist, I've seen a blue one and a green one in other collections. A green one sold on an auction here several years ago.

Claudio was one of the very first persons I traded cars with on the D4C forum back about 26 or 27 years ago!!
