I really don't know what scale this 12 inch Hudson is, but I've had it for years, stuck way up high on my shelves. It's a one piece casting by Marx Toy Company, made when this Hudson was the newest thing on the road. This version is a battery-powered & wind-up fire chief car, but Marx made it in other versions. Mine is definitely in "played with" condition. Just thought you folks with the big toys might not know that we little toy guys sometimes break over. Enjoy!

Very neat, David ! It looks like that sleek fire-red Step-Down has a whole crowd on board. Marx made many great models/toys/fun stuff over the years.

It's really interresting...

I remember that toy from my childhood as well, and seeing the picture, I'm amazed at how well proportioned that Marx toy was for something molded in the early fifties. Most of the toys I had as a child were nebulous in shape and/or proportion, but fortunately, a lot of the Marx plastic toys were reasonable faximilies of real vehicles.....
something I really liked as a "kid".
Thanks fror showing the picture.

Very nice. The passengers look like Dick Tracy comic strip characters.
