Hoping someone has this diecast model and can give an reasonably accurate review of it. Seems to be one of the few rare FM models that is actually holding it value.
In mint condition it is one gorgeous piece, my only concern is in most of the pictures of it  I’ve seen the convertible top has a rumpled frumpy look to it….which tends to put me off some.

so here’s hoping I’m mistaken and someone can set me straight!

Larry, I display mine with the top down for this very reason. Despite that, I really like this model a lot. I applaud FM for making this model and the folding top.

My concern is just that, seeing as this model is in the range of the original release price or above and has to be displayed top down because of shabby design is a shame and should have been addressed before it’s release….

it is a beautiful and unique model otherwise and would have been perfect had it simply had a removable top like all the others such as my newly acquired 39’’ Ford Deluxe Convertible Coupe.

I love the model, I have both colors. Needed to adjust the tops of both but they are fine and I display them top up.

Ok those looks much better than the ones I seen posted for sale on eBayassuming the adjustments made were mainly to the metal frames correct? How are they when folding in the down position, does the tonneau cover fit snugly?

there is a pin in the middle of the V shaped front piece of the top's frame that fits in a hole on the windshield, it is partially visible on the red car below (in the middle between the window frame and the top). There is a tool in the box that helps to pull that pin, however I have never used it. I pull the frame with one finger placed just behind the V shaped bar of the front end of the top

Oh, your question was how it fits in down position ... No, the tonneau cover is piece of crap, does not fit snugly.

Actually Chav you appear to be the only person on the planet who has been able to fit these correctly! I recall your pic showing the tonneau cover in position and it too looked perfectly correct. I'd love to get the model too but its just too risky at the cost.
