My favorite 57 Chevy may be the silver coupe. But in convertible form, this beauty can't help but win the heart!!
The mods you made enhance the model far more Hollis, wonderful job!
I'm not sure but I think this was my first DM model. Mine has the sealed trunk.

I know for sure my FIRST DM model was this blue Chevy...with the "closed" trunk. It wasn't until I found out down the road that there was a second version of this model with and "opening" trunk, so searched for it and eventually added it to my shelves.
There is another difference between the two, that being the rear spears on the fenders are "plain white" on the "closed" trunk version and their is no glass in the "wing" windows.
While on the "opening" trunk version, the spears have lines in them and also glass in those "wing" windows. I've always been excited to have both versions.

Nice work Hollis, I did a similar job to an FM convertible, added a top, dual exhaust and blacked out the grill.
Gotta love those altered diecasts!

@david-vandermeer David, that looks great. I did something similar with an FM Bonneville. I wanted to do a "what if" Pontiac had done a Bonneville ht. for '57.😊
Now I need to get the white convertible to go with it.
Awesome job Geno! Is that '57 Chevy top?
Nice work David. FM actually made this version, white over black, in very limited edition.
@chav Thanks Chav, I tried an FM '57 Chevy top, it wouldn't fit, oddly. The top I used is an FM '55 Chevy top supplied by our good buddy Hollis. Some minor mods and it worked perfectly. It's painted Chateau Grey Poly as the contrasting color, plus to match the interior.💯😊
