I mowed the yard Wednesday at 92 degrees with 80% humidity and had to stay hydrated. It entails a hand mower and string trimmer and then the tractor so I got overheated quickly.

Today's high is 88 but by Wednesday they are calling for 93 again. 

@perrone1 Don't over due it. At our age we need to be careful or so my wife tells me.

90's and high humidity for us as well. I'm glad I got my yardwork done at the beginning of the week. Cool mods on the truck Hollis,  she's ready for winter.💯

All the more reason why I have a landscaper handle the bulk of the yard work. I used to do it all until about 6 or 7 years ago.

 

Shirl keeps saying that we should hire one too. It's the trimming and push mowing that I hate. The tractor work is fun. I'm landscaping little by little to transform the areas I use the other equipment on so that I am able to use the tractor for the whole yard. The 60 inch mulching deck makes it harder to get around things but easier because of its width.

@perrone1  Perhaps you married her not only for her beauty, but because you found her to be highly intelligent? 

I enjoy working in the garden, but I now know my limitations and how high temps and humidity can bring me to my knees.  I did test my mettle one day a few of years ago and only realized on the ride in the ambulance that I had pushed my luck too far.

I have a sense your wife would much rather have a yard of scrub grass than miss out on any future time with you.   

I almost forgot: great truck, Hollis, and this is the first time I've seen snow chains on a model, other than a snowplow.

@perrone1  That's a nice spread you have, Tony.  Hire a gardener for crissakes and spend the extra time with that young thing.  (Does your wife know about her?)

Ha; that's not our place, we were in Colorado. And that's not a 'young thing' between my wife and me, that's a Colorado Timber Wolf they had on display for us.
