That is a nice memory. I bought that model for a friend...
...but never got one for myself, sadly he passed away in 2003.

Nice story Phil.
Sorry to hear! I have a few other special models... 007 Aston , 62 TBird SR, 57 300C
The Bond car and TBird were gifts for birthday or Christmas from mom and one year brother and mom chipped in for the 300c for my Bday. I was given a DM 49 Surf wagon as a gift from a co-worker. So these are extra special models to me! Keepers if you will
Super sharp / outstanding pics. Have it - love it.
Phil .... Your story is wonderful .... 2 Thumbs up my friend .. 2 Thumbs Up
What a great story Phil. Thank you for sharing. I'd say that Olds is priceless.

Phil, I can relate to your story on the Olds. I have several models in my collection that were given to me by friends. Even though they are models that I would never buy myself, the fact that folks thought enough of me to give them to me is priceless and I would never get rid of them.
I'm glad to say that I have this bright and merry Rocket Oldsmobile.
I'd luv to have the two-tone green version but they are so rare and pricey now. I'm fortunate to have the Coral & Shell Beige coupe, however. '
OH, she's ready! Lookin' GOOD!
Such a beautiful model made even more so by your photos. I have had this one for years and years. I was so thrilled with it when it arrived, it still brings a big smile to my face when I see it.
