So what do you get when you upgraded your order for this '39 Ford Convertible Coupe? Well, first, you now have an 85 HP 221 cid L-head V8 under your hood. Whereas the standard Ford still used the 1937 front clip and grill, your car has a new stylish nose nose There's the special trim package and, you now have two taillights instead of one! This '39 model now has hydraulic brakes and, it was the last year a Ford would have a rumble seat. This Deluxe set you back $788 when the average wage was $1368 (and a new house was $4000).
This is a great little model from Franklin Mint with its quality and parts count as good as any in their waning years of operation. The roll-up/down side windows were a feature that offered a bit more finger fun. Even more bang for the buck was our Club LE "World's Fair or Bust" '39 with matching trailer.
Your Pictures while always outstanding, are TERRIFIC! A real home run Rich. Glad to have both of these jewels in my collection.
