...the 1983 Buick Grand National, GMP's first foray into the 1/24 scale market. There were some complaints about this model when issued, but I think they did a nice job of shrinking their 1/18 scale model.
Some of the issues with this model were weight (not as heavy as Mint models), plastic chassis, and seam on the quarter panel. For a while, these cars were pretty cheap on the secondary market, but now they bring decent money. Hard to believe this model is over 20 years old!

20 years ago hey? I remember the controversy well. Still I liked the car design and added one, glad I did. Beautiful paint on the model. Interesting subject matter, thanks Pete.
