I've been for the most part, absent from the Forums and just about everywhere else. Very briefly, 'cause I don't want to dwell.
I was working quite a bit out of town, came home a few weeks ago with another case of Covid. Unlike the 1st time, it hit me very hard. I've recovered mostly, but a few lasting effects remain. I've been trying to get back into the things I love, like my models, but it has been slow going, as the interest isn't quite there. I have been improving with those things as I do post a comment from time to time, and I've even started buying a few models, including the recent Brooklin/hobbyDB Ventura and quite a few from Jack Dodds. It's been difficult to focus and stay that way for a few weeks now. Hopefully, some arriving boxes will perk things up. Maybe a new post or so will come soon as well, I'm sorry for my absence and lack of interest. I've been around here so long; I'd never have thought it possible to lose the desire to visit every day.
I went back to work for a few days last week and again this week, it won't be until the 15th I return full-time, but I'm home bound for the rest of year at least.
I hope everyone else is well and all things are good for you. I am looking forward to getting back to normal, whatever that is, LOL!

thanks for writing us John.......I hope you experience a full recovery soon and get back to your most entertaining posts when you feel like dipping a toe in..................jB
Post when you can, recover fully, at your own pace,; we'll keep a stool empty and waiting for you for whenever you feel up and ready for Auto Action! God Bless dear friend!
I was wondering where you were John. Sorry to hear of your illness. Here in Australia we have become so complacent about Covid, an experience like yours is a reality check.
Take it easy and heres hoping from now its all recovery. All the best.
John, take your time. I have heard recently that Covid is on the rise again. Don't know if I want to get any boosters. I have also heard a lot of young folks are having heart attacks that they say are related to the vaccine. Who know any more.

To each their own, but I say get the boosters. I got my last one in May, and I'll get another whenever they are available again. My opinion here, but I feel that if everyone would just get the vaccines that have been given us, this Covid crap would be much less than it still is. As for the news of it being on the rise again, I think we just need to accept that it is out there from now on. But without the vaccines, people are going to get it worse than those that have gotten them. I don't mind saying that I've become personally very frustrated with our society that WON'T do things to stay healthy and many times in not doing so, they risk the well being of others. 'nuff said.

John, we have missed you. Really sorry to learn about your severe Covid infection. The virus certainly has not gone away and continues to evolve. Rest and spaced activities with time seems the only way to fight it although there are a few medicines that help some. All the very best with your recovery and may your life interests regain strength.
I got it once in the early days but have had six boosters etc and so far have no repeats. My daughter has had Long Covid with either relapses or reinfections despite boosters. We avoid larger groups indoors and do a lot of outdoor activities.

100% support your view George. I've had my original shot and 4 boosters, as per our medical advise. And so far, no covid.
John, we missed you. Thanks for letting us know what's going on. The important thing is your recovery. Take it easy, don't rush back.
