I'm liking these shots JB!!!!!!!! I did have to dial some flash compensation into the shot with ISO 32. But I think I'll stick to ISO 64 setting for now!
thanks Tony......no flash here, as this camera has forgone the ways of the elders......but why wont my F stop stay where I set it?
Maybe they oughtta call it an "F set and then we`ll do whatever we damn please /stop"

Not totally sure why your f/stop is fluctuating. If you are using CL (Continuous low) setting and the camera is trying to select focus in lower light, it may be readjusting the aperture for correct exposure. On the 105 Micro, it will adjust to the minimum aperture setting as the lens focuses to its closest point.

Thank you Tony.....it was a vicarious thrill to "shoot side by side" with you on this rare occurrence when I had very similar hardware as you were using......I will look into the issues and settings you`ve noted.....and my sincere apologies if I`ve mucked up your post

Ahhhh; a cat's life. After having a myriad of animals, cats & dogs, the last one for us was Katie. She was with me for 22 years!!
