I remember how Jay encouraged me to join the club a few years back. He was always helpful with the auction and any club matters. I used to get his chocolates here in Australia for him. Vale Jay

I did get to meet him once at a meeting at FM in Media, PA. Great guy. I was thinking of him recently and wondered how he was doing. RIP, dear Jay.

I didnt know Jay - but do recall (i thought) of his association with the Oldsmobile Club of America, of which I've been a member since c1982

Really a shock... He came by the house to see my collection about a year ago and has always been a good friend.. with insight and dedication to the website, the hobby, and all related to it.... He will be sorely missed as a mentor and source of knowledge. Godspeed my friend...

Very sorry to hear of Jay's passing.
I had just a few chances to interact with him over the years and he was always the perfect gentleman. The D4C will surely miss him.

Sad news
I had the pleasure of meeting Jay in person several times. He was a well spoken and entertaining man. Very pleasant to be around.His love of our little cars was interesting and he was a wealth of knowledge. This is a tremendous loss to the diecast community Farewell Jay Olins you will be missed. To all your family i am sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you

I just found about Jay's passing. I missed it on the post. It;s two months later, but this loss is new to me. My belated sympathies to his family.
