Betty and Shakey have "declined" work for the last couple weeks, citing rain as an OSHA recognized hazard.
......they`ve mostly occupied themselves with a daily trip to the bodega on 4th and Collins......coupl`a cartons of BASIC Menthols, mac and cheese "heaters" and a suitcase of Old Milwaukee.......One scratcher they redeem for a pepperoni if it "pays".....same harvest each time makes the budgeting pretty straightforward..
...at home,it`s rabbit ear TV reruns of Matlock and Crusader Rabbit.....each evening they let the cat out in hopes he will put a rabbit on the front porch to demonstrate his gratitude......so far he`s pooped on the welcome mat twice and "shared" a headless mouse..
...and now,Columbia Gas has notified them of intent to shut off the flame......like it or don`t, they head out to the jobsite to take-up where they left off
.........around 11,Betty surreptitiously palms a brick with intentions of "harvesting" a small bear.....after some consideration that mama bear is probably watching from the tree-line, she opts instead for the proven "slip and fall" technique.
.......soon enough, she and Shakey will return to the splendor of chicken and wine.....just maybe even re-connect the Cable
Ohhhh, these lousy rains. The Southeast is soaked, saturated; plum under water! Â
not so long ago.....I`d revel in the "atmospheric blues" and be out there at dawn`s light snapping fog addled picture after picture......it`s still an mesmerizing sight to see from within a warm dry home, but it`s a situation not unlike the brain scrambled cat who wants the door open but is not foolish enough to step outside
toss another log on the fire Tony 🤗Â
local weather here:
...PATCHY DENSE FOG EXPECTED TONIGHT THROUGH MUCH OF THURSDAY MORNING...Â
Areas of fog will develop across the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia through the nighttime hours and linger through much of Thursday morning. Several locations will see the visibility dip to one-quarter mile or less at times in patchy dense fog. The visibility may vary greatly over short distances.

I`m afraid you`re a tad late ..................the kids had to go to bed in order to get up early enough to milk the cows and chickens......it aint like they can just remote control an army of John Deere machines to do the work for them!!!
