We all know that getting the Brochures were "OMG" moments, but getting the Brochures and being part of the CLASSIC CAR PREVIEW SOCIETY would have been too much for a weak heart.
We'd get models automatically sent to us from DANBURY MINT and most were "I'm not going to return" cars! And Membership in this exciting die-cast collecting club was crammed with all kind of benefits (see 3rd page of Brochure below).
The example of this 1971 PLYMOUTH HEMI "CUDA" CONVERTILBE was just one of them. Damn, life was fun when we had these incredible 1:24 scale replica's to look forward to!

A plus of the Preview Society was that you got the cars before non members and a slight discount on the price of the car. I never sent one back.

That was a great benefit of being a member. But here is something that some may not know, as a Preview Society Member, I actually informed one of the customer service reps that I spoke to early on as a member, and asked if my account could be marked that I didn't want to automatically receive models that were earlier than 1940, and she did for me. I'm not sure if others ever did this, but that customer service did it for me. Danbury Mint's customer service was always (in my opinion) above and beyond excellent. Many businesses could learn a lot from them!

Like Evan I never sent one back.
I never returned any Danbury models, but did send a couple Franklin's back.
