When I received this brochure it was early in my 1:24 diecast buying years. When I was 5 years old, my parents lived in a duplex, and the guy downstairs from us had and Eldorado like this one. Yes, white and a convertible. To my little six year old eyes, it seemed like the most elaborate looking car I'd ever seen. My parents owned a green '53 Ford 4-door sedan at the time, it was a very dull in comparison to that Cadillac. Truth is the Ford was dull.
I like the Franklin Mint model a lot. It has stood the test of time and mine seems to be intact and rash free. I was excited to add it way back then, and was equally excited when I obtained the Red repaint. The Light Blue one has alluded me, but maybe someday.

I have this one, the others never appealed to me so I passed on them.
The FM '53 Eldo was also an early acquisition to my collection. I still love it along with the red version. I passed on the light blue one, hoping FM would issue one in black with a red interior, but we all know that never happened.

@sizedoesmatter, funny I'd hoped for a Black version too, with red interior. LOL, guess holding my breath didn't work.
Though only from a model standpoint, I'm usually fond of Black cars, as they seem to get lost against all the other colors of cars on my shelves, I'd have welcomed a Black one because no car looked better in Black than Cadillac. It seemed to add to the regal look of the car.

I have all three FM 1:24s. My favorite is the blue version. I also have the DM 1:16 edition.
@al_dorado, I also have the DM 1:16 Eldo. It was one of the first diecast cars that I collected. I would love to see that one done in black too, with the red interior of course.

I passed on the blue which was a mistake but have the red and white 1/24 and the 1/16 .
@bob-jackman, WOW! I find it hard to believe that you passed on any 1:24 car from the mints. Would it be your hope to add the Blue '53 Caddy at some point?

I have all three, the white is still my favorite. I too hoped for a black version.
