Since I loved Danbury Mint's two '48 Chrysler Town & Country's, I wasn't bothered when I opened the envelope that housed this brochure from FRANKLIN MINT.

It was offering "their version" of the car, and a beauty it is!  Subtle differences from the Danbury version, like the "Dog Dish" hubcaps and the side-trim is a little different as well.

Though of course I'd wondered (as I always did) why both mints would offer the same car, I had no issue with ordering it and adding it to my parking lot.  And to my surprise Franklin would come out later with two additional colors of the car.

No problem, they're ALL on my shelves!

I like the FM's 2-tone interior better than DM's all-one-color version.

Excellent choice today George. BOTH FM & DM versions were exceptional!

You have to wait for DM's 2-tone interiors on their New Yorker's.  STAY TUNED to "IVE GOT MAIL!", they'll be forthcoming.

George, the dog dish hub caps were standard on these cars. The difference is that DM chose to add the beauty rings which could be either chrome plated or painted. The chrome makes it appear that there were full wheels covers which wasn't the case.
