The normal humdrum of going to the mailbox and finding usual bills and junk I don't want, was always made exciting when I received brochures and flyers from one of the Diecast mints. It made the mail fun!
Getting this flyer was especially rewarding because it was offering not only a repaint of a previous release from Danbury Mint, but this new model offered both a "with" and a "without" teaser for me. The "with" was the top up option and the "without" was no continental kit engulfing the rear bumper. Being a "Limited Edition" release, I grabbed my phone quickly and got this little baby ordered.
For me, it's the color combination that makes this model bring back those 1950's memories.

That was a really attractive model in those colors and minus the Connie.
👍 👍
Yes indeed George this is one really fine model. While I don't mind continental kits on Fairlane Fords in 1955 and 1956, the best part of this model was the improvements DM made from the original red/white version. Also outstanding was the Victoria hardtop in Buckskin/ white issued fairly close to the same time.
