If you're just an average car person, you generally grew up thinking that CHEVY and FORD were the best (and sometimes only) cars that were produced. After-all, most people seemed to own them. Each was the "Bread and Butter" cars for their respective companies, and for many a first car they owned.
But both Chevy and Ford knew how to also give their buyers a feeling of luxury, and nothing in the Fifties seemed to say luxury more than a Convertible. So not to be denied, both brands had a convertible, and both were beautiful.
When I received these Flyers in the mail, an immediate call was made to FRANKLIN MINT! "Hello...send 'em to me please".
1955 CHEVROLET BEL AIR CONVERTIBLE
1955 FORD SUNLINER CONVERTIBLE
PLEASE VOTE! Which '55 did you prefer? Chevy or Ford?

An absolute tie for me.
Neither. Now; take off the skirts and conny kit - a perfect tie!

I agree about the connie's on both cars. Take 'em off! But on both cars, I like the skirts, especially on convertibles.

I agree with John Merritt 100%. The color combo on the Ford is FANTASTIC!

I've said in a past post that I liked the 55 Chevy over the 55-57 group, but the 55 Ford puts it to shame. Classic styling.
WOW! I have to admit that I'm pleasantly surprised at the '55 Ford winning over the '55 Chevy. I didn't see that coming. I think the Ford is gorgeous, but against the Chevy styling it places second for me.
Great conversation and input guys! Love it.
